Hello, I want to be unable to connect to 54.207.119.122 and ban it from it connecting to me as well, I want to be unable to ping it and to receive data from it, can I do this with my ASUS RT-AC68U 378.56_2 merlin fw?

I know I have to go to Advance Settings Menu > Administration > System tab, that’s all I know so far, but I have no clue about what to do from there.

I know this should be very simple, sorry for the noob question.

I think what you want is to access, isn't it? your topic is to "BLOCK"? but your content is you can't access ...
1. ping:
Firewall->General->Respond Ping Request from WAN : YES
2. wan access:
Administration -> System -> Enable Web Access from WAN : YES
Port of Web Access from WAN : 8080
3. If you want to port-forwarding or DMZ for some serivces
WAN->port-forwarding
WAN->DMZ

To block access to a specific IP, you have to configure it under Firewall -> Network Services Filter.

I've done this (screen shot attached) but I'm still able to ping that IP, I want to totally ban it.

I've read in this forum i need to do something about a thing called iptables and enter some codes to ban that specific ip, right?

Ping uses ICMP. Your rules only blocks TCP and UDP connections.

so the settings i have on the screenshot i uploaded are ok? is that ip banned successfully?

It should prevent your clients from accessing it, yes. Try connecting to that server to confirm it.
