I'm trying to setup vlans on my gt ax16000 running as an AP for Opensense. My network has Opensense connected to a gt ax16000 and gt ax11000 both running as APs. I know Merlin has vlan support for router mode, but i need AP mode vlan support. Thanks in advance.

The 3004_388.8x firmware doesn't support user defined VLANs. There are some posts (use Better Search at the top of the page) about user scripts that create custom VLANs. Maybe one of those would work for you.

One of the latest threads with script example:

Asus has released a new firmware 3.0.0.6. It supports VLANs out of the box. Give that a try and post of findings, please.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing - Asus routers as AP with OPNsense, but I currently don't have an OPNsense box to test with.

This is how I am now setup. Opnsense router with 3x asus AX routers as APs using the script to repurpose guest networks as VLANs.

Working great.
