After days of trying to resolve the "Your ISP's DHCP does not function correctly" with my AC68U I am convinced that there is an issue with the firmware as I have tried many things and nothing works. Simply plugging in another non Asus router works perfectly (I have tried 3 of them Netgear, Cisco, TP Link) and none have this issue after a full week of operation. I have swapped the modem (Surfboard) and have factory reset the 68U and left it with default settings and with 36 hours I get the "Your ISP's DHCP does not function correctly" message and lose all internet. I have tried changing to Normal, Continuous and Aggressive with rebooting after each change and I still have this issue. I see by the many threads I am not alone and many people have simply given up and changed the router. I would like to go backwards with a stable firmware if possible.

What I would like to know is if it is possible to go back to a Merlin Firmware that was before AiMesh and if so how to get the firmware as I don't see older version on the download site.

Thank you

AiMesh has nothing to do with the problem you're describing.

Just go to the download folder for your model and all the previous releases are there going back to 2015.

Do you have modem only or modem/router combo? You have few options to solve the problem for good without downgrading firmware.
