I’d like to isolate the gaming pc in the basement from the two WiFi computers upstairs in our office.
I have an asus ax88u pro but bought an ax11000 pro because I thought third band would be useful
How does one accomplish this?.

Setup a Guest network on your main router and disable access to the main subnet.
Setup your office access point as an aimesh node.
Broadcast the guest network through your aimesh node.

Now all devices connected to the guest network will be isolated on a separate subnet.

I have the two band router AX88u set up with a 2.4 network for all my IOT devices. Then I have the main network the 5G band. I can set up a guest network on the 5G and do this? If I don't need to keep the Tri band (Ax11000_ router then I can save the the money and return it.

Yes setup the guest network/networks on your 5G band router and broadcast them to your aimesh wireless access points that you want to be isolated.

What are the aimesh access points? I only have the router.
I did create a new network and connected mine and my hubby's computers to that.
When I go to Finder on my mac and click network, I still see my basement computer. It's not separate. Is there some other router setting i have to enable? Intranet was disabled.

Setting up a guest WIFI to isolate a wired PC will not work. But, as you have Asus Pro routers you can set up a VLAN to an Ethernet port that the wired gaming computer is connected to and isolate it from other devices on the network. You may need to set up a Customized Network under Guest Network Pro and disable the WIFI. Then go to LAN/VLAN to set up the VLAN to the chosen Ethernet port.

But, as you have Asus Pro routers you can set up a VLAN to an Ethernet port

Does this work on AiMesh nodes?

Perhaps @OzarkEdge can share experience with 2x Pro routers? This Pro firmware + AiMesh continues to be undocumented mystery box.
