How to reload USB drive without reboot

I am running Merlin fairly new version, sharing files on a USB drive, if I create a new folder, it does not show up until I either reboot the router, or manually pull out and re-plugin the USB drive.

Is there a command or somewhere on the admin page to do this without reboot?

I have a WD 3tb drive connected to my Ac3100 on the USB3 port. I create new folders on it from my Windows 10 laptop and dont have that issue. I did notice that if I dismount the drive in the Merlin GUI I have to reboot the router for it to remount. Probably an option I missed somewhere but I dont see a way to remount it.

If you have ssh access to your router you can remount the volume by using the mount command. Or unmount by using the umount command. All this is made easier if your drive is labeled.

But there is a drop down menu option on the front page of the gui that lets you dismount the drive, so I imagine there is a mount option somewhere that I am just not seeing.

I only have SSH active on very specific occasions and don't think I will be using that to mount and dismount my disk drive.

Nope can't do it from the GUI. Reboot if ssh is still not an option.

You could also remove the drive and reinsert after a few minutes. It may mount for you. But a reboot is the best.
