New Around Here
Hi!
This is my first post here so bare with me.

I have a HP Procurve 2510-24g switch that up til now has been workin like an unmanaged switch.
My ISP has provided me with a cheap switch that splits up the VLAN´s for their services (Internet, TV and VOIP).My plan now is to remove their equipment and just use my HP Procurve.
I checked with my ISP and it was OK for them so they just gave me the VLAN info and said good luck.

Other equipment used is a Netgear R7000 router, will use this as a dhcp server and for wireless connections.

My ISP VLAN´s:
VLAN 101 = Internet
VLAN 102 = TV
VLAN 103 = VOIP

Local VLAN = 110

My plan was this:
Port1: WAN (from Fiber to Ethernet converter)
Port2: VLAN 101 (To my routers WAN port)
Port3: VLAN 103 (To my VOIP box)
Port4: VLAN 110 (Back from router)
Port5-24: Vlan 110 (LAN)

Will this work?
And what should be tagged and what should be untagged?

Thanks for any help!

Check with your ISP as to what needs to be tagged/untagged on port 1
port 2 untagged VLAN 101
port 3 unknown, test it both ways
port 4-24 untagged

How are the TVs connected?

Thank you for you help. I will try this out.
I dont use TV from my ISP at the moment. Im using satellite now.

I would try to simulate their VLAN switch by just replacing it. A lot of understanding will be gained from this exercise. Once you understand the data streams you may be able to structure it the way you want.
