New Around Here
Hi all,
I am new here and first time owning a router; the RT-AX88U router.

I was reading/researching about asus AI Protection and was quite concern about the privacy side so i started to look for an alternative and I discover AsusWRT, Diversion, Skynet and etc...

I came a few articles and the were talking about AsusWRT what is used to be in terms of privacy.
For AsusWRT, i found an a blog post that was very critical of SNBForums.

Like mentioned, I am new and first time router owner and would love to hear everyone inputs.

I'm trying to learn how to manage my router with AsusWRT diversion, SKynet and DNScrypt as well, but have no idea where to start right now - it just so much info and don't know how to being.

Thanks for reading and your inputs.

Use your new router with Asuswrt stock firmware to learn about it and to confirm it works.

Later, if you want to add bells and whistles, learn about third-party Asuswrt-Merlin firmware, https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/.

Discuss a firmware in its respective forum here.

OE

Load Merlin firmware to your router, install amtm script and you can easily install mostly whatever you want to offered here.
Everything found in Merlin-subfolder.

@remix0 What are your specific questions?

That’s not an article, it’s the rantings of a delusional idiot on drugs.

I see, thank you for the insight. With that being said I will dismiss all the other few reads I have came across regarding the same issue on Asus Wrt

@thiggins My specific question is - in terms of privacy, where does Asus WRT stand with privacy?
