Hi,

I have set up my ASUS TUF-AX6000 to connect to it via HTTPS, which has worked perfectly.

Yesterday I connected a crappy HP printer to my laptop via WI-fi, and afterwards, I couldn't connect to my router.

When I go to xxxxasuscomm.com:8443 I get connection failed.

So I wanted to reset it, and now it won't. I unplugged all the cables and held in the reset button until it lit up again. I have also unplugged it including the power cable, but it still connects to the old SSID.

When I try to connect from the ASUS router APP to create a new login, the connection fails.

Do you have any idea how I can reset my ASUS TUF-AX6000?

Thanks

JJ

IF you've succeeded in resetting the TUG-AX6000 you won't be able to access it using HTTPS until you've set it up again. I'd suggest turning it off and then while continuing to hold the WPS button (keep this pressed until LED activity has not changed for 10s or more) turn it back on. You should now be able to see the setup WiFi SSIDs or wired via 192.168.50.1 and be able to set it back up again.
*I know older HP printers can be a pain, but setting up a printer shouldn't actually change any settings on the router, though with poor printer setup apps they can change your device WiFi to a temporary SSID that you then have to change back later!

Thanks a lot, I am about to try what you suggested.

I know, it is super weird, I have no idea what happened. The HP easy install is a pain. It installed HP HTTP, FTP, fttps and a lot of other crap.

Thanks!

So I managed to reset the router. The pen I was using in the reset hole wasn't long enough to press the reset button :D

I uploaded my old router profile with all my settings and it still can't connect to https. I think it might be Avast or some other program.

Maybe I just need to set all my settings again.

Thanks!

Maybe I just need to set all my settings again.!

Seems to be the reasonable thing to do if you could connect after the hard reset, but only before uploading your previous settings.

Just saying, just in case: It's probably not a good idea (especially at the moment) to have your router accessible from the internet, and if it's not accessible from the internet there's really no need for HTTPS.

It turned out that my ISPS changed my IP bc I don’t have static IP, and I have specific IP access only. Never doing that again 😅
