I want to use RT ASC1200 for local intranet only

I bought a RT AC1200 to serve VNC screen share to a few clients in a local intranet. When I connect, the auto login screen keeps popping up saying i'm not connected to the internet. I don't want internet, just a local network. I tried disabling wan but that made the network inaccessible. My old router worked fine but I got the new one because I was having interference issues.

Is there a way to disable the auto login popups?

I don't have the same model as you, but if you go to Administration-System, then there is an option to Enable WAN down browser redirect notice. I assume disabling this would fix your issue if your router has the same option.
