Installed RT-AC88U_384.4_2 on RT-AC88U-- can't access web gui?

New Around Here
Hi All--

I just installed Merlin vRT-AC88U_384.4_2 on my RT-AC88U... and all of a sudden I can't access the web gui. The web browser just errors out-- not an access issue, the page won't open at all. Asus' Device Discovery tool finds it (at the IP I expect it to be at).... but I can't access the device via the webgui.

Did anything change with the SSL port number, maybe? I usually access it via 192.168.1.1::8443/ --- but I can't access it at that IP, or at :443, or without a port either.

I've tried rebooting it (via the physical switch) a couple times, and it didn't have much effect.

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Just empty the browser cache, use a different browser or delete the old certificates in your browser. I had the same problem on Firefox, switched to Edge temporarily to access the web UI.
You can also try to switch to https://router.asus.com:8443 since this link is not cached on your browser yet.
