Intel WiFi Link 5300 and Intel Ultimate N WiFi Link 5300 same card?

Hi,

I have a probably stupid question but is the "Intel WiFi Link 5300" PCIe mini card and the "Intel Ultimate N WiFi Link 5300" PCIe mini card the same?, on amazon and various google results I find for both names entries, however the Intel homepage mentioned only "ultimate" http://www.intel.com/products/wireless/adapters/5000/index.htm.

The adapter roundup (http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-reviews/31089-80211n-adapter-roundup) also names it as "Intel Wifi Link 5300" so I'm a bit confused.

So are they basically the same card?

Yes, they are basically the same. The latest version is the 6300 series, however. So you might want to get that.

I asked Intel what the difference was between 5300 and 6300 and they said besides some admin features usable mainly for large businesses, there is an enhanced receiver algorithm that could provide some performance improvement.

Yeah I heard about the 6300 unfortunately its nearly impossible to get them in Europe and they are more expensive so I go for the 5300.
