The same has happened to me over the past few weeks, I have had a constant ping test from CST on a server machine.
I have an RT-AX86U 388.6 Full hard reset before installation

The same has happened to me over the past few weeks, I have had a constant ping test from CST on a server machine.
I have an RT-AX86U 388.6 Full hard reset before installation
What seems to be the problem? According to your log everything worked as intended.

Looks like your Internet connection dropped out, then your router reconnected it. Nothing to do with your router. You should contact your ISP.

It is taking down a server, multiple times a day for 1 to 3 minutes per occurrence, maybe it is a coincidence that the issue started to happen after upgrading to 388.6. I was just wondering if it may be something with the router config, as I called my ISP and showed them the logs and they have no issues on their end(as usual lol). I will reset the modem and router once again to see if that helps.

If you're loosing internet connectivity inside that period without any other errors in the router's log then I'd say it's an ISP issue.

This isn't really "normal"... this kinda of also smells of the issue on another thread where the ISP's DHCP responds badly...

Some google-fu tends to suggest that this, like the other, is Asus, as a lot of reports there mention Asus specifically...

Could be related.

There is a rather old thread on the meaning of this setting. If it is not required by your ISP, did you already try to set it to "No" and see if it has any impact in your situation ?

Just turned this off as the ISP said it wasn't necessary, I'm currently monitoring the situation, I had two more disconnects today. If this situation keeps happening I will tell the ISP to change my connection back to IPoE, as the only reason I'm Using PPPoE is because based on the ISP to be able to use the MODEM in Bridge Mode, it is only via PPPoE. and if that is the case I don't want to lose control over my network.

Definitely there something going on with the ISP, I manage to access the logs of the modem by requesting the admin login for the modem and I found this:

I suggest you contact your ISP again and show them this log. It's a bit difficult to correlate to your own log because the date and time on the modem is not correct. But the most interesting entries are the ones showing your ONT going offline for over a minute:

Hey there, I contacted my ISP, and they replaced my modem, which was faulty. However, the disconnections that lasted from 1 to 2 minutes persisted, though the ones lasting 30 to 40 seconds were eliminated after changing modems. The fiber line was in flawless condition, so I started to play around with the settings and discovered that something was going on with the PPP Echo pings on my Asus AX86U router. I installed a new, non-Asus router, and used the same PPPoE parameters as with my Asus, and the Echo requests worked as expected. The issue appears to be that the Asus router executes the PPP Echo ping but never receives a response back, triggering the hangup signal, as if the line were actually disconnected or down. I asked my ISP if, by any chance, they were blocking the Echo signals, and they told me they do not block them. Then, I tried a DNS probe with my Asus router and haven't had a disconnect in the past 5 days. Echo works with TP-Link router I have, I wonder what could be going on with my AX86U that never gets the response.
 
Well done for coming up with a solution. If DNS Probe works then I'd just leave it at that. Not really worth the effort trying to understand what's going on behind the scenes IMHO.
