iOS Asus Router App

Updated my router. The app is neat and a good start. Is there a practical function for the rotating graphic element? Is there any plan to allow remote logins?

You can check real-time traffic/guest network/CPU&RAM usage rate/client number by slide on the rotating graphic element

I'm seeing a bug where it shows several wireless clients as anonymous on the ios app, but they are identified as sonos play 1 devices and an amazon kindle on web interface, which I believe is correct.

OK. Here is a screen shot of the ios app, showing annon. for 168, and a screen shot of the asus standard app, showing no 168 at all. I was wrong about sonos. They are showing up fine on ios. Seems to be a ghost client that only shows up on iOS

I just switched to the new ac88u router. and the bug is gone. It seems to be specific to this app and the 87

oh there is a bug in the app which gives accessibilities to quests in your network when you thought you were disabling the quest access.

Check the samba tab and "quest login". if you turn it off, it is actually enabling the quest login. It is showing the information wrong. if you have played with the app, better to check your settings with the browser!

I also checked on RT-AC88U, have the same issue, so this is not in particular model

No acess from wan? I would like to have access from wan using Asus dns.

I didn't seem to initially have this problem on my 87u, but after upgrading it to the latest Merlin firmware, I seem to also get it. I have quite a few devices shown as Anonymous. However, if you check from the Android version, it's normal.

I think that the Android version has had a few updates since release, which haven't yet come to the iOS version...

App Versions currently:

iOS: 1.0.0.0.26
Android: 1.0.0.2.33

It would be nice if the device list could be sorted alphabetically or by IP or MAC... unless I am missing something.

In the App Store it says that it's version 1.0.0.1.129, but when I open the app it's 1.0.0.0.29

The "What's New" isn't in English though so I have no idea what's supposed to be different.

Asus just released a new update for the app at Apple Store, now we can acess the router remotely!!! Finally, tested here and it's working well

What feature does this app offer that so many people are requesting remote access? All I want to do is be able to fire up my guest network remotely instead of walking my wife through it over the phone and I don't see guest network options anywhere.
