Curious, is anyone having issues with their iPhone 16 not moving between nodes? I have a GT-BE98 Pro running Merlin’s latest firmware, and two BQ16’s. I have MLO off, yet in the asus app it shows MLO as the connection method for my iPhone 16. It also refuses to connect to anything except the GT-BE98 Pro.

I have the same setup as you with s BE98 Pro as the main, and 2 BQ16 nodes, however I have MLO off and different SSIDs for each channel. The iPhone is connected 6Ghz-1 and I see it swap from each node as it moves around the house.

Interesting. I also have MLO off, but it’s funny it shows MLO as the connection method. I am still playing with it.

I remember reading from dongknows review that BQ16 pro does and GT98-Pro do not play good with each other with MLO turned on. You ideally want to use only the BQ16 pro together and not mix. This could be fixed by now with the recent firmware update.

Yeah i have two gt be98 pros and want to give the bq 16 pro a try on its own and then later on add one to maybe cover my balcony area. I just wish asus was faster with their firmware updates. One firmware per year literally is kinda silly.

They released new firmware for the BQ16 today, but like the BE98 that released firmware last week then another quickly in a couple day; the first of which I think it's just some security updates. Hopefully in a couple days, like the BE98 Pro the 'new architecture' update drops for the BQ16 and then I'll update the firmware.

I have experience with the BE98 Pro and BQ16 Pro. With 10 Gig NIC/backhaul I could get 2.1 Gbps on MLO WiFi using iPerf3. At least with wired backhaul they play together reasonably well.
