Is "Engineering Mode" any less stable?

I understand what it is, and what merlin's insight into what it does is from threads, but I'm curious if anyone has info on whether the trade-off for the added speed/range has any impact on stability.

I'm running .40 on an RT-N66U, and have not noticed anything odd, but I guess you can say I just want to make sure my network is as stable as it CAN be.

Also, this may be off topic, but is using "ping.exe" a good enough tool to test wifi stability?

Thanks.

.40 was rock solid for me.

If it walks like and duck and quacks like a duck...it's a duck.

If everything seems okay...it is. Relax.
