Is there a way with the Asus/Merlin FW to get a notification, email or text when the main WAN link is down?

I get all sort of notifications from the Asus iOS App when new devices connect to the network, but none when the WAN link is down, thank you

How would it send such a notification?

You can get one after it is up again though. Search the forums for such scripts (you may have to modify what you find to work for you).

It would help to know what the router and firmware you're running is too.
