Is there any VPN provider with easy setup for port forwarding on Merlin?

This used to be PIA for me but their REST API for this stopped working several years ago. Is there any provider that is simple to connect with a script running on Merlin, get a port forward response and then use that port to route to another device/service on the network? I just need something with a simple HTTP/REST API that I can call from a script. It doesn't seem there's any reliable information on this anywhere. Only outdated docs that no longer work, people talking about something unrelated. Surly some other folks have use for this too?

thanks for this! a couple of questions if you don't mind. are you configuring the ports on their web UI like so:

The service will be reachable from the exit-IP address of the VPN server your system is connected to. You can forward up to 5 ports simultaneously. You can do that on our website, in your account "Client Area". A port will remain reserved to your account as long as it has a valid subscription plan, so you will not have to perform any over-annoying port changing in your listening program(s) settings.

and these correspond to the the ports 10022, 10080 and 10443 in your script?

Yes. Those are the external ports you make available w/ the VPN provider's tools. You then map them to internal IP+port (the last two arguments).

AirVPN works fine for me.
AirVPN works fine for me, too.

It offers blocking ads or something other rubbish sites through DNS, as well as a maximum of 20 forwarded ports, with random number.

You can download an application to to their servers for almost every operating system, including MacOS or Android, using Wireguard or OpenVPN protocols.

Indeed, you always can download configuration files if your intention is to connect a router. They have both Wireguard and OpenVPN configuration files to connect your devices to hundreds of different servers located on different countries from several continents.

Greetings.
