Is there any ways to change web interface IP

Hello,
I have a web server behind RT-AC66U. Since the web interface of the router uses port 80, I can not have a public address with port 80, and is kind of bothering me...

Just wondering if there is any ways to change the interface ip address, that would be great.

Perhaps you would want to change the port of the web interface to something else and then use 80 for your web server...

Yes I have been trying to do that for some time now...
I searched up for a few hours that some said to do

nvram set http_lanport=8080

but it does not work for me, it just simply go ahead and still uses port 80...

The main web port cannot be changed from its default 80.

This shouldn't prevent outside access, only loopback access. I haven't tested it however.

My router is on 192.168.0.1

My firmware version:

My PortForwarding:

My FireWall:

and my iptable firewall is down on the server too.
The server is running on Ubuntu, using lighttpd.
I tried putting the server into DMZ too.

Any help is welcome.

If you disable the firewall, you will disable iptables. That means you will also disable any port forwarding, as those are created through iptables.

Apparently when I tried the cases with firewall on, I didn't reboot, and it didnt work.
This time I turned on firewall and rebooted the router, it works great now!

Is that really true? On my router Firewall was off, but I have been accessing my server (behind the router) using both http and ssh since I set up the router. And the port forwarding for those ports is set up in the web ui of the router.

If you disable the firewall, you disable most of iptables.

There is zero reason to disable the firewall, unless you run a pure routed network, and have firewalling implemented elsewhere in your network.
