Just wondering if this much activity in the log is normal, or if I accidentally enabled a level of logging I don't need? I have Merlin Firmware:380.65_4 and also latest version of AB-Solution AdBlocker installed.

Edit: Forgot, my hardware is Asus RT-AC1900P, ie RT-AC68U

It depends on what happens after those messages. I don't see any duplicated requests, so that seems normal. When the router first starts up all your active DHCP clients will try to reconnect at roughly the same time. All things being equal, they will probably renew their leases at roughly the same time.

It is all the time. The router has been up for about 8 days, and the log has these entries every few minutes.

Check the router at LAN > DHCP Server. Make sure that the "Lease Time" isn't set to a very small value. 86400 is about right.

I had it set to 3600. I assumed it was seconds, so 3600 would be an hour. I changed it to 86400 to see if it is different.

Yes it is in seconds. Clients should renew their leases at half-time, so that's 30 minutes. If you pick one specific device, like Living-Room, what is the time gap between successive entries?

That is it then. When I check any particular device it is 30 minutes.

I had changed it to 3600, when I was messing with the IP addressing.

I have changed it back to the 86400 and went ahead and rebooted the router.

Thanks,
