Go to the "ASUS Wireless" forum, and perform the search from there for posts there for "dead loop vlan2"

You will come across a thread where a fix is posted by Merlin.

If you reboot for any reason you will have to re-enter that script.

Well, I flashed back to the original Asus firmware, the latest release, and it fixed all my problems. I know Merlin works hard at what he does, which he doesn't really have to do, and that's why I've donated money multiple times. He can't satisfy every one, but I've tried multiple configurations in his firmware and still, every day, my sys log fills up with those errors. I don't know what was causing it. All I know is the Asus firmware, as much as I'd rather be running Merlin's, has fixed my issue. The only thing I changed is the firmware, so I'm not quite sure why I was getting hundreds, if not thousands, of errors daily, but now it's fixed.

Sorry, but after spending the day unhooking all my stuff, reseting the routers back to default, flashing Merlin's new firmware, figuring out got to use telnet, which I did, but whenever I type the command you told me to use, it tells me Object "disk" is unknown. Is there support to be some kind of object in there after tc like a colon, a forward slash, or something? You've spoon fed me crap.

Yes, I was being sarcastic. If it wasn't for forums like this, no one would be able to fix anything. Thank you NightOwl326. I was able to figure out it was a typo. That's the first time I've ever used telnet to access my router. Is that what the custom scripts are used for? To login to the router and have it run a script for more functionality?

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm also using an RT-AC66U setup as an AP. All router functions are disabled including DHCP, so anything connecting to the AP gets its IP from my primary router, an RT-AC87R.

In the LAN settings of the RT-AC87R, under the Route Tab, there is an option to enable static routes. What's the difference between static routes under this Tab and the static IPs under the DHCP Tab? I have static IPs set under the DHCP, but under the Route Tab, it says "This function allows you to add routing rules into RT-AC87R. It is useful if you connect several routers behind RT-AC87R to share the same connection to the Internet." What's the difference between adding a static route and a static IP? Should the IP of an AP behind your primary router be listed here?
