What are the latency differences between ethernet over SFP+ optic cables and ethernet over standard (twisted pair) ethernet cables?

For example, what would the latencies of each of the following look like?:
  • 1 meter SFP+ multimode optic cable
  • 1 meter standard Cat.6 ethernet cable

Thanks in advance for any information.

10GBaseT : 1.6usec on RX, 0.6usec on TX
10G SFP+ : 0.3usec on RX, 0.3usec on TX

Information is based on testing from Mellanox.
Different devices will have different results . . . but a good rule of thumb is for storage IO, SFP+ usually has half the latency of using 10GBase-T
