Back in the day, some VoIP services had issues with the default UDP timeout values. But that was back in the 2.4/2.6 kernel days. With all models now being on 4.x, I doubt anyone has any legitimate need to adjust these. I've considered removing them in the past, now that I no longer support any 2.6.xx platforms, it might be time to drop these.
