Currently my HTPC is connected to my 5GHz wireless router (Cisco E4200) via a Cisco USB adapter. For some reason this USB setup has been unreliable; it sometimes does not auto-connect after reboot.
So I'd like to find a wireless client bridge that I can connect to the HTPC LAN port instead:
- 5GHz wireless N
- At least 1 gigabit port
- A client mode that is NOT based on WDS (as that will cut my bandwidth in half)
So far I haven't found an off-the shelf device that does this. I could opt for e.g. a E3200 or second E4200 and put DD-WRT on it, but I'd prefer to stick with standard firmware.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
