Hi,
Probably a stupid question, but… When I clone / change the MAC address of my AC68U router to match the address of my previous router, is it permanently changed or does it go back to the original when the router is reset to the factory settings?
Are there any adverse effects of doing this? The reason I'm asking is that although I do not pay for a static IP, it has not changed in the last 5 years and I would like it to remain the same, but I'm afraid that when I hook up the new router, it will change.
Thanks in advance!
