Oddly enough the port 7788 has stopped
but now im being flooded with port 1900 and ocassional port 9999 requests from a local ip 192.168.1.63 of another lan user on the network

I read this thread in the forum and ssh into the router then added this command
iptables -I INPUT -p udp --dport 9999 -j DROP

i'm no way near a techie person just your average home user help

The port 1900 stuff is just normal SSDP or UPnP multicast traffic. Ignore it or unblock it.

The port 9999 infosvr traffic can also be ignored.

If the worst thing you do on the internet consists of watching porn and visiting shady subreddits then the best thing to do is set the log and notice level to “warning.” Otherwise you’ll just find yourself in an endless circle of worry.
