No torrents, but clearly not something that the average user will do (hosting nodes for some blockchains).The only way to reach this high number of connections with your limited number of clients is heavy torrenting and the router will slow down to a crawl long before that. Leave this value at default and don't worry about it. You are trying to fix non-existing at the moment problem.
