I currently have my RT-AC66R set up as a media bridge but have noticed an issue on setup, once it is set up, you cannot access the router interface any longer. This appears to be an issue with the router knowing what IP it has been assigned.

Resolution: prior to setting up the router as media bridge, manually assign the IP you want in the LAN page. Even if you use an assigned ip from the main router, the bridge will not function correctly unless you assign the ip on the LAN page of the bridge.

Merlin, john, I don't know if you can modify the code or not, but that's the solution.

you can if you know its ip address

fortunately asus have made an app

How to setup media bridge
Step1: The RT-AC66U's IP will be changed after setup as media bridge, in order to find the RT-AC66U's IP address, please download the Install and use the Device Discovery Utility (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/ASUSWRT/Discovery.zip) first.

It has a static assigned ip from my main router, but it will not accept the ip. Even the utility will not recognize it unless I set it up with this workaround.
