Can someone tell me the difference between the Merlin build 3.0.0.4.372.30-3 and 3.0.0.4.372.31-0 ? Thanks Jim

Usually it's in the release folder with the firmwares or you could check the appropriate threads.

Hi,

The answer is simple: RTFM!
If you download the firmware (zip file) you will find a change log (by unzipping it) with the requested information...
But you could fould everything already in the forum here - if you would search for it...

Or you just download the release notes directly from here.

With kind regards
Joe

All the important links (including to the Changelog) can be found in the sticky thread.

Just finished upgrading to the Merlin Build 3.0.0.4.372.31_0 all seems good will repost if I find any issues. :)

So far no issues all devices connected and working. No issues with the 5G band both Roku 3's working perfect on 5G. Tablets and phones and computers working great on 2.4 G this version so far seems quite stable getting 55 down and 11 up both bands wireless. Streaming HD has been no problems what so ever. :D

Nice speeds there Jim.

Thanks Sm00thpapa thats Comcast blast tier works well. Well its day two and still no issues to report all is good !!

Please check the channel you are using.
In the 2.4 GHz band my RT-N66U seems to always use channel 1, despite what I set (I set channel 8) with Merlin's version 31.

I have mine set to channel 5 because its the only channel not being used around here on the 2.4 Ghz band. I rechecked and it is still on channel 5. Are you having issues with the new Merlin build ?

Any other channels other than 1,6 and 11 you have more of a chance of overlapping other channels. As in channel 5 will over lap 1 and 6.

I know what your saying is true but I have so many routers in my area that channel 5 works the best for me god knows I have tried them all. That's why I like the RT-N66R it has such a good signal on 5G that all my devices are connected via 5G except two tablets and a iphone4 they use the 2.4 G band. Either band still gives me 55 down 11 up

I understand. I own my own home now. But when I lived in an apartment complex there were 100's of wi-fi routers and connection was horrible but still usable.

Day 3 now and not one issue with the new build. I think its safe to say this is a good firmware build. Kudos to Merlin good job. :)

Day 4 no issues this thread can be closed just no problems to report on 31_0 with the way I use this router.
