Hi,

is it just me or is it really a bug?

I have previously set my minidlna database to my HDD. However, I decided to restore my router to its factory settings and reconnect my HDD afterwards. While accessing my router using aicloud on my android I noticed that I have two items for my HDD. One is HDD and the other is HDD(1). Using aicloud I can access the HDD while I can't access HDD(1)

I then checked my router's /mnt/ directory via ssh and found that I indeed has two HDD directories there. The HDD directory has a minidlna directory in it while the HDD(1) has all my directories in it plus minidlna directory.

To cut the long story short, it would seem that if your HDD has a minidlna drive present then if you set the router's minidlna directory to the same HDD it would create a duplicate directory in the /mnt/ directory.

Deleting the minidlna directory in the HDD and setting it in the router seem to do the trick though.

Btw, my firmware is Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.34.

Thank you Merlin for this fantastic firmware and support.

Can you double check to ensure you only have one partition on the disk?

Same here.
I have disk with three ext3 partitions. This drives me crazy.

I'm still battling with it and not sure if if I have it working properly now, but the only way I can access my dlna content was to:

  • disable DLNA on UI
  • remove all minidla config files and directories
  • reset DLNA settings to defualt on UI
  • enable DLNA on UI

This (1) bug is really annoying.
Merln if you need help testing this bug and how to reproduce it, just let me know what to set and I'll be happy to help.

Of course (1) partition bug never happens when you don't have minidlna running. It's definitely connected with it.

Same bug

I have the same bug.
I have an Optware partition and a Media partition.
If I set minidlna database on Optware, I frequently find Optware(1) duplicate mount point, if I set database on Media partition, I get Media(1) duplicate.
Is there a way to avoid that?

I gave up on this and seen that configuring everything using default settings setup through web interface seems to work for most of the time.

Confirm

Just to confirm the bug.

My HDD is EXT3. Do you suggest formatting in EXT4 (any improvement)?
