I have been having an issue with LAN port on Asus mobo. Running Win10.
For 9 months, I have had the network set to auto link which resulted in 1.0Gbps link and everything worked properly
However, I had network connection issues yesterday. The computer would not connect to my home network. After changing switch, cables, etc I found that if I manually set the link speed to 10Mbps or 100Mbps, the computer WILL connect to my network at that set speed.
If I set it to auto negotiate link or 1.0Gbps link speed it will NOT connect. I've removed and reinstalled the network card drivers as well.
I am able to use USB network adapter via USB 3.0 port and get link at 1.0Gbps.
However, I want to fix the NIC on mobo and use that if possible.
Does anyone have advice on how to fix this? Thanks.
