MU-MIMO USB ADAPTERS?

Just bouht a Netgear Nighthawk X8 R8500, they are MU-MIMO capable but all my office computers and laptops dont have a MU-MIMO wireless adapter.

Which USB MU-MIMO adapters are out there to buy alread?

Is there any other USB adapters which support this function?

It would have to be, since it's a BCM4366 if I remember. Provided Asus enables it in the driver (remember, MU-MIMO is still considered as beta by them).

how about x4 7300 from Netgear . if it extends the wifi with extender mode using fast lane which is 4x4 quad stream ac band of 1733 which is more than sufficient for wired device to get close to half + of bandwidth with slight chance to get even 1gb's

Linksys WUSB6100M USB adapter just offers 150 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 433 Mbps on the 5GHz band and Edimax AC1200 300Mbps on 2.4GHz band and 866Mbps on 5GHz band over MU-MIMO.

yes atleast ie the only adaptor available for 20 bugs rest all too costly and in order to make mu-mimo compatible with wave 2 series router this small dongle does the needfull. Means 2 clients can get 866 or close to 800 Mbps which when translated will get 400+mbps .

There's a linux driver for it over on Edimax's support site...

Yeah, I understand.

I went ahead and spec'd the USB-AC53 Nano to overcome a laptop's wireless-n with one antenna (72.2 Mbps link rate) and it was installed by the user. Seems to work as advertised... ac link rate is now 866 Mbps. Its tiny antennas will probably have limited range, but it's good enough for the user's needs.

Simply buying a MU capable client won't help if its not based on a Qualcomm or Intel WiFi chipset or a router based on a Qualcomm chipset. Broadcom based MU devices/routers actually can reduce performance with MU enabled as Broadcom's implementation isn't very good. MU works best with decent gains on the QCA9984 based routers (Netgear R7800, Synology RT2600AC, Asus BRTAC828). Also note that you need two or more MU clients to even make use of MU-MIMO in the first place. Also don't expect a night and day difference either.
