Hi all,
My first post over here. I've read a lot about the RMerlin release of the Asus AC66u. First of all: thank you VERY much for the amount of energy you pun on this project. Can't say that enough.
Although I have some wishes that cannot be accomplished by the GUI.
Let me briefly explain the situation. I live in a normal home. 2 adults, 1,5 children (due to divorcement). I work a lot from home. Sometimes collegues are visiting, so therefore I use the guest network layer. My ISP has made the decision to completely close their router, so I worked about them for the internet connection using a light managed switch ( netgear GS108E to be specific ).
Also there is one laserprinter at home, which I want to share.
What I really would like:
1. normal VLAN for normal purposes
2 .guest network access with client isolation ( own vlan ??)
3. sort of guest network: wireless interface and one ethernet port ( own vlan )
4. copy of 3, but then work related. Perhaps join a VPN connection to it
5. be able to print from all vlan's to the laserprinter
6. extra vlan with own NAT to make a connection to the ISP router
7. most prefereble: 1 ethernet port as a trunk, so I can aggregate all vlan's about that trunk to the netgear switch.
8. each vlan needs their own dhcp scope and server ( ok, point 7 i could use the dhcp of the ISP)
As I can't find my way at all at the moment of how everything is working together, ( switch, bridge, vlan's ), and more important: what the commands are in the console. I understand this cannot be done by GUI, and that is ok.
Were to start ? Any help is much appreciated !
