New Around Here
Hi,

I have a ASUS RT-AC68U with currently with Merlin 378.54_2. My wireless users are authenticated via RADIUS server (NPS on Windows 2012 R2). Although I have 2 NPS servers, the RADIUS Server interface of Merlin only allows for 1 IP address. Which means that every time I need to reboot that server, all my clients loose wireless connectivity and have to reconnect.
NPS allows for a NPS Proxy to Load Balance the requests to a NPS Server Farm but that means my single-point of failure just shifts from the current server to the proxy and if a reboot of the proxy is needed, the problem persists.
I've tried searching the config of the ASUS on nvram in order to find something that could point me to the right direction but with no success. My goal is to be able to set 2 IP Addresses for RADIUS Server. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Typically with RADIUS, if one is looking for redundancy (good idea with RADIUS) is you have two (or more) sync'ed up to each other, and they're behind a virtual IP provided by a load balancer that does failover if one goes down for whatever reason...

Yes, that's the general idea (redundancy). I was trying to find if Merlin add the ability for multiple IP's but if not, NLB on Windows should do it...
