What's new

My head is going to explode (install of ABS/Skynet/etc. not working)

Pixelserv from the ABS menu gives me:
----------------
found Entware entry in /jffs/scripts/post-mount

but Entware does not appear to be running.
Please investigate first.

----------------
Pixelserv from the AMTM menu gives me:
----------------
pixelserv-tls install failed,
install Entware first.

----------------

I thought Entware was a part of Merlin now though?? I'm sure this has been covered in another thread. Gotta rustle it up.

In the router Web UI under Administration/System select "format jffs partition on next boot".
Then reboot.
Then safely unplug your USB device through the Web UI and do a fresh format.

Plug it back in, install amtm, install AB-Solution through it followed by installing pixelserv in AB-Solution.
Then install Skynet through amtm.
Done

Your error "found Entware entry" is a dead file in /jffs/ from a failed install, hence the format of it, which I strongly suggest you do in the order I listed.

OK. Found another thread that directed me to:
entware-setup.sh

Back into AMTM -> ABS -> Install PS-T... seeming success.

Now I just have to make sure I can restore the PS-T certs I backed up...

EDIT... @thelonelycoder ... I have seemingly achieved success. Should I back up, format jffs and start again with Entware? Or stay with what I've got?

You'll be fine now, by installing Entware separately, AB-Solution just had to do more checks and additions to the jffs files. It would have been better to do it the way I suggested. But all should be up and running now.
AB-Solution has a self-healing check built in that corrects about 99% of user or device caused errors.
Believe me, i've coded this for a reason.

Oh, I'm sure!

Thanks so much for everyone's help here! The other (questionably bad) thumbdrive was making me crazy! I reformatted it in NTFS and it seems to be acting normal, but I'll tell the wife to be careful with it jic. :D

Stick with ext2 for USB flash drives, the Journaling on ext3 will kill the USB flash drive fast. I've corrupted two USB flash drives trying to use ext3 before realizing that folly.

I thought that I read ext2 was only for swap?

No, it was the default filesystem for Linux. Click the link in my previous post to learn more out about it.
