Crisis adverted. Ended up being self inflicted. My NAS backups up to the cloud and for some reason today I am getting a great connection to them so my NAS is using all of my bandwidth. As soon as I pause the backup everything is fine.

I am on FIOS direct from ONT to N66U. Everything had been running great for a long time. This morning I am playing Battlefield 4 and all of a sudden my ping time goes through the roof. I check the router and ping times to the router from my wired PC are all over the place from sub 10ms all the way up to 800ms. Ping times to google are between 1500ms and 2500ms. I leave a ping running to the router and google and pull the WAN cable. Ping times to the router go back to 1ms. Plug the WAN cable back in and the LAN stays at 1ms and the WAN ping to google is 10 - 20ms. About a minute or two later the ping times are back up. I rebooted the router and the ONT several times. VZ support says they see nothing wrong on their end.

The Syslog is too large to attach. So here is the link to it.

Any ideas or anything jump out to you from the logs?

Is 5 - 10Mbps upload from LAN to WAN really enough to slow down the LAN side of this router?

i believe you might be suffering from bufferbloat. if you got fios. upgrade your plan. if you can upgrade it to the point where that upload can't use more then 70-80% of your connection, you should be good.
