I replaced my WRT54G with DDWRT with the N66u as my primary router. I successfully was able to bridge my WRT45G to the N66U and allow connectivity to devces in my family room (Tivo, TV, ESXi Host, Etc). The only issue I am having is that all the MAC addresses of the clients are showing up as the MAC of the linksys bridge on the ASus and not the client itself. This prevents me from effectively setting Static DHCP. Anyone have any idea why it is doing this?

With my old setup I had the same setup but both bridge and primary were WRT54G and I was able to see the client MAC addresses no problem.

this is really bugging me, I dont know what it is that is causing this behavior. any ideas anyone?

That could be related to the buggy NAT Loopback code Asus uses which will NAT all lan 2 lan connections. See if you get better results with my custom build 3.0.0.3.157.12 Beta 2. While testing that beta make sure you don't boot with a USB drive plugged to the router - there is currently an issue related to NAT Loopback and GRO (enabled by having a USB disk plugged in) causing stability issues. This should be resolved with the next beta.

No idea then, sorry. Not really an expert in router bridging here.

No worries, I'll just use static IP's for those machines for now. I'm sure this will get flushed out at some point. I'll have to play around and try a different switch or something.
