Hello hello, i need some Asus expert help. I have 350 x 350 mbit internet line, fiber optical. And I have the Asus RT-AC3200 with the Merlin 380.66_6 firmware. Wired network from Asus router direct to pc (windows 10) give me 350 x 350 mbit speed. Also on both the 5 ghz wifi I get 350 x 350 mbit speed on my ipad close to the router. BUT, the 2,4 ghz wifi only give me 110 x 110 mbit.. I have tried switch chanal, switch brandwitch on 2,4 band. But nothing helps. 2,4 ghz wifi give 110 x 110 mbit, and 5 ghz wifi run imediately up to 350 x 350 mbit. What am I doing wrong??? I also tried to restore factory defaults on my RT-AC3200, but no luck.. Tried on several units, iphone, ipad, windows computer, but same on all units.

That's 2.4GHz for you - and getting 110 symmetric is pretty good there...

I'm not seeing a problem here.

Sounds like it is working like it should. What speeds did you think you were going to get on 2.4g

its funny how many really dont know what they have.
in a single stream config which is what most portables like phones and tablets have, the most you can get is 150Mb/s on 2.4Ghz wireless N and 433Mb/s on 5Ghz wireless AC. This is the most, normally you will get much lower rates depending on your range. Theres nothing wrong here. The router itself supports 300Mb/s on 2.4Ghz wireless N via dual stream wireless N, and for some very rare clients they can do 450Mb/s wireless N on 2.4Ghz, as for wifi AC, each stream gives 433Mb/s max. Remember these are max, the theoratical and practical rates differ a lot. On 2.4Ghz expect to be able to use 30% of your link speed, on 5Ghz expect to see around 50-60%, this is because 2.4Ghz is filled with many devices that vary a lot that dont exactly use the same wifi standard.

Ok, sorry then.. I thought I wold get the same speed at 2,4 like i get i 5 ghz.. But thanks for answeres

get a copy of a wifi scanner, such as acrylic , runs on windows 10, and see what the congestion is like!!

Acrylic is a great tool - and an awesome tool with the right WiFi adapter.

That being said - going back to OP's original concern - nothing wrong here, his data rates are well within expected norms.
