New Around Here
I'm new to this forum and have been lurking and learning but I'm still a noob.

I need some help setting up access for a Dish Network 722 receiver in my basement. I have a D-Link DIR-655 on my main floor hooked to my PC. I basically use it as a firewall and my son connects his iPod Touch wirelessly. I have an old Belkin F5d7230 that I would like to use in my basement as the Dish receiver only has an ethernet connection. How do I get these things to talk to one another. I only have 1 desktop pc (windows 7) on the main floor and no laptop to work through the Belkin. Is there someone here who can give me a drop dead simple explanation on how to get this to work?

Thanks in advance

I am a little unclear as to your goal... Are you trying to connect the Dish Network 722 to your main network (D-Link DIR-655) via a network cable? Or are you trying to connect the Dish Network 722 to your main network via wireless through the Belkin router?

Yes, I'm trying to plug the Belkin router into the ethernet port on the Dish 722 in order to connect to my Home network being served by the DLink. The Dish has a USB port but it's only there for external storage. I need to set the Belkin as a bridge or something and the DLink as an access point but not sure how to get them to talk to one another.

Thanks.
