I don't see this improving range. Potential range may be lower since users will not be able to replace the antennas with higher gain ones.
Most new higher end routers are already extremely close to the unreasonably low transmit power limits set by the FCC.
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/R8000/R8000_DS_11Jun14.pdfIs this router AC3200, going to be better buy then new Linksys router?
I might be blind, but, i am trying to locate full hardware specs, and unable. (maybe 2 much drinking for Canada day already)
Stay clear away from Belkin/Linksys. That's all I'm going to say.
I returned to Amazon a WRT1900AC Linksys router because it was just too problematic......
I agree to NOT have a Linksys right now..it wasn't ready for prime time
And to have something that looks like a turned over beetle with so many antennas, I would walk in and grab a can of RAID and try to kill it.....
True all routers have their own faults.
Too be fair, if one peruses the Asus sub-forum here, you're having quite a few issues with the AC68U you just bought, as well.
yes, and next week I will probably replace the Asus RT-AC68U with a Ubiquiti Edge Router Lite and a Ubi Pro-AP
Return the Asus to Amazon and swear off consumer routers because once they went away from plain old single band routers, they added more and more stuff but the products got worse and worse.
then again, I may keep it.......undecided at this time.
I'm not sure a year is even enough anymore, honestly.
