Hi there,
I use an Asus RTN56U serving as DHCP with:
Port 1 Computer A
Port 2 Empty
Port 3 ReadyNAS Duo V2[static IP]
Port 4 Gigabit Powerline adapter
On average for a single large file, my write to the NAS is 40mb/s and my read from the NAS is 100mb/s with 60 and 160mb/s bursts respectively.
However after what seems like a few days, that speed goes down to 30mb/s and 25mb/s respectively(yes the read goes down below the write).
Some ways to fix it have been to unplug the Cat 5 on the NAS, wait a few seconds and put it back in. Also, rebooting the NAS box, and sometimes, changing it's IP. When I do these things, the speeds go back up.
The only thing happening in between these few day's duration, is that the NAS runs a power schedule (and additionally is sometimes woken up with magic packet from another device in the house).
I am going to disable the power schedule on the NAS to see if that's related, but other than that, thoughts? Could be router related?
