Gosh I hope this is a good one, I really want HFS+ and Time Machine support. It would be nice to see a FW released that doesn't turn out to be pulled for once.

Hi

Clone MAC is not ok , no funktion

Tried some large simple HTTP downloads from my QNAP NAS through the AC68U. The AC68U still hangs with hardware accel switched on.

no go!!

Here is my feedback regarding this update:
I did factory default, nvram clear and reboot before and after the update. The router was upgraded from xx.306 to xx.339. After several unsuccessful settings customizations trials, I left ALL settings to manufacturer defaults . The router performance became very unstable after this update to say the least.
1- 2.4 GHz degraded to the point that it takes forever to load a webpage and also devices iPads/iPhones having trouble to connect.
2- 5 GHz drops to 0 Hz strength at random times (using Wifi Analyzer/inSSlDer) and devices can not reconnect.
3- Asus claims that they fixed the Download Master, but unfortunately that is NOT true. Download master is still broken that when I loaded a file to it, the download did not start. Moreover, I couldn't delete (cancel) the download task and I had to disable the download master altogether.
4- I like the extra utilities added by ASUS such as the "Time Machine" support but even that is useless to me because I can not use it with USB3.0 speed.

I only use the router as AP without any port forwarding nor VPN, etc.

I'm really disappointed at ASUS releasing such product. I had a very good experience with the N56U so I though to give this AC68U a try but so far this thing is driving me away from ASUS NEW products. I should have waited for more reviews about it.

Any one had a good results with this upgrade? what were your settings if you do not mind sharing?

Does Merlin build work on ur router?

Any of you guys with 339 got the chance to test IPv6? Can you tell me if you are able to remotely access your LAN devices like before through their IPv6? At a quick glance, it seems Asus has disabled IPv6 forwarding with this FW. Makes me wonder if it might be a temporary stop-gap measure due to the lack of any IPv6 firewall in their FW.

If that's the case, then I will revert that specific change on mine since I have an IPv6 firewall in place.

Any chance for Apple Time Machine support on your next one Merlin?

FWIW I'm using your latest build on the 68U I just set up and it's nice so far. 5GHz download 90 Mb on my iPhone 5 in same room, and 65 2 floors away.

AC68U at home on 339. Quick ping and http test shows that I can access my NAS at home via IPv6 address from my office... Both using tunnelbroker, 6in4.

Office has AC66U on your latest non-beta firmware.

Ok, thanks for testing. Asus used to enable IPv6 forwarding when starting radvd, and disabling it when stopping radvd. It's possible that forwarding was already enabled elsewhere, and this enabling/disabling part was causing other issues.

standard vpn client

is there anybody that got the standard asus vpn client in the firmware working with openvpn? i've imported the opvn file and then ca cert (using PIA). it connects for a few seconds but then disconnects... any advice??

Looks like the OpenVPN client on .339 is broken. I'm on PIA too and facing the same problem.

Not an issue for me as I don't enable it on the router anyways since I can't specify which client connects through the VPN (it's all or nothing).

i like to report asus that with this firmware after using it for couple of days i notice my internet is slowing down, more like a ping issue, webpage slow to load and internet video take longer to play. After i reboot the router every thing seem normal again. YFI: i disabled the dlna sever, smb, iTunes server.
