New AC86U Download master will not finish installing

UPDATE:
Formating the External drive to FAT did the trick
Never had this problem on NTFS drive before

Just got new AC86U to replace borked AC87U, and the downlad master will not finish installing
It's stuck for hours now on
[downloadmaster] Installing...
Installing...：ncurses,libxml2,libsigc++,libpar2,pcre,spawn-fcgi,readline,asuslighttpd,wxbase,libiconv

Tried several times, but it never finishes
Any idea why?

I am probably wrong but are you not going to have trouble now downloading files larger than 4GB to that FAT drive? Or is that just a windows thing?

Tried again, formatted NTFS and stuck same way as before

not strange but known bug, one of the causes I changed my home network.
And even if it will finish, the DM tab will disappear.
Older firmwares (maybe before september) are working!

Why it works fine with FAT formatted drive?
Would't mind if the DM tab is missing you can just got there direct

@smooth is correct. FAT32 limits individual files to a maximum size of 4GB.

No idea. I've never used download master.

This post mentions an "icon fix" in the latest stock firmware.
