I know it does not improve signal. Never said it did.
You did, sort of. The icon you used has :signal_strenght: as description on mouse over.

Bingo. What he said. Asus really need to sort this out, it’s just an embarrassment and brand loyal purchasers’ patience is wearing a wee bit thin as a result; at least in my personal opinionThis is the major complaint around Wi-Fi 7 products and not limited to Asus models. You also need to know AiMesh compatibility between 3006.102, 3004.388 and 3004.386 devices is still gray area
I actually set uo a 2.4 GHZ loT Network and a seperate 5.0 GHZ loT network. Both are flawless, never looses a connection. I have 44 connections. I also have a MLO Network as well as a guest network and they also are running very stable. My pixel 9 PRO XL connects on all 3 networks and is lightening fast.Well it seems that 2.4Ghz is on this is unstable at times. I'm tired of messing with it
Back to my super stable ax86![]()
So your IoT network has the same name as your primary ? How do devices know what to connect to?I just setup a BE98 Pro. Stock updated firmware. The only issue was some, not all of iOT devices did not connect to 2.4.
I used guest network pro and created an iOT network called Idiots under the original SSID for 2.4. As soon as I did that all of the 2.4 iOT devices that did not connect previously connect, connected instantly. Is this the correct method? It's 100% stable now.
The only thing that did not connect is a RT AC 68U that is in Media Bridge mode. I don't see it in the Asus Discovery app anymore. Not in the client list either. Rebooted it, didn't help.
How can I get that 68U reconnected again?
No, the IoT guest network was named idiots using the same subnet as the main network option. Then the 2.4Ghz light switches that didn't connect to the normal 2.4Ghz, connected almost instantly. Not sure how they knew to connect to that.So your IoT network has the same name as your primary ? How do devices know what to connect to?
This is what I had to do too. Otherwise my IoT was a mess. When 2.4 ghz devices actually connected my speeds were abysmal. I'm talking dial-up speeds. lolI actually set uo a 2.4 GHZ loT Network and a seperate 5.0 GHZ loT network. Both are flawless, never looses a connection. I have 44 connections.
