new hardware revision for asus ax88u pro

I read the notes in Merlin's ax88u pro 388.3 release:

- date June '23 - NEW: Merged with GPL 388_23110, adding support for a new
RT-AX88U PRO hardware revision.

Can someone confirm the hardware revision names of original vs new?
I was going to buy one but I don't want to get an old one. Thanks very much.

Afaik, there is only one hardware version of the RT-AX88U Pro. The 'old' one mentioned is the RT-AX88U.

ok thanks. The way I read it seemed to allude to multiple PRO versions. Could just be my reading skills or lack of.

It's just a hardware revision to support a different switch. There is no change to the model name, and neither is better than the other, just different.
