New network recommendation for router

I am setting up a new small school network(10 desktops wired and wireless, 10 laptops wireless). I want a Merlin compatible router. From the official list below can someone recommend something that might last me 3-5 years and still have some support.

RT-AC86U as a second choice
If you need to save money and want a super router get an RT-AC66U_B1. Same Hardware as an AC68U but cheeper. Merlin uses one for testing and it will be around and supported for a while.

RT-AC86U is the first Asus HND router, 4y old already and with reported overheating (and other) issues.
RT-AC66U B1 is perhaps the best budget router, but the coverage is not as good as newer AX routers with updated radio modules.

Router temperatures

Hello everybody With this release, temperature of my RT-AC86U has risen again. It's around 96°c. and logs shows CPU turned off due to excessive heating. CPU Wait is ENABLED. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks

The one I can buy here in Thailand is 300 USD and comes with the title AX5700. Will that still work with Merlin?

I got another one in yesterday. Ordered a RT-AX86U and it said AX 5700 on the box. Same critter.
