Release New official R7800 firmware

New official R7800 firmware from Netgear, Version 1.0.3.92. No date on the page but DuckDuckGo gives it a date of September 26th, 2024.

Noticed when my R7800 updated me automatically (maybe I shouldn't have left that box checked), taking me off of Voxel 1.0.2.110SF.

Oh wow...but many have switched off Netgears firmware long ago. The problem is if there are any issues with NG firmware everyone's 90 days of warranty support are gone ..

This is what more companies need to do though, no new features, just security updates.
The R7800 is one of those routers that seems to have lasted forever, unless the hardware started to die as in my case.

Interesting. They sure don't make it easy to figure out what specific security issues were addressed. The release notes just point here:

Which seems to be a long list of security updates for all products. There is no option to filter by product that I can see, and none of the titles contain "R7800".

It looks like there maybe are some new-ish features too though. I see VLAN and VPN options, as well as the ability to connect to the router interface using HTTPS (with a self-signed certificate of course) under Advanced Setup. I don't think those were there before but I'll admit it's been years since I went option by option through the settings.

That doesn't sound familiar, but as mine died a couple of years ago, I can't say I remember all the features either.
The most solid router I've ever owned.
