Nintendo Wii connected to WRT1900AC on 2.4Ghz kills 5Ghz

Yeah, we have 2 Wii's and they get used quite a bit since the kids not only play games on them but they are also used for Amazon Instant Video/Netflix.

There's no real clean, inexpensive way to replace that functionality unfortunately.
If you can't replace G devices, put them on their own G AP.

I actually have a Zyxel P-330W sitting here. Now I just have to figure out my channel plan. 1, 6, and 11 are all in use.

Stay with those channels. Put it on a channel that has the lowest activity or lowest signal level from the other AP on that channel.

You may need to experiment a bit.

Hey guys. I exchanged my router for a new one at Best Buy tonight.

Since I was already down hard most of the evening, I decided to go ahead and do some testing.

I changed the 2.4Ghz settings dozens of times, in every different combination. ZERO reboots. None whatsoever.

Don't know if I had a bad unit or not but I tried pretty much everything and couldn't get it to lock up or reboot at all.

I'll be testing the Wii's tomorrow. Right now I have it set for B/G only. May set it to B/G/N if I get a wild hair.
