No support for routers with built in modems

Neil

New Around Here
Is there any reason why none of the asus modems with built in modems seeem to be supported?

I have the DSL-AC68U and I see that only the RT-AC68U is supported - and it seems to be a common theme with all after market firmwares that they're not supported.

Is there a reason for that, and is it something likely to ever come in the near future?

Many reasons.

1) Limited time and resources, so I don't support every single model in existence, and limit myself to only some specific and most popular high-end models.
2) Only available in a few select regions - Canada isn't one of them
3) No way of testing the modem part of the code

There are no plans for this to change.
