Odd, Minor Problem

There is a small, but annoying problem between my RT-AC66 and my Canon mx-922 printer that started sometime on or after release .52. The printer is connected to the router on Ethernet (not USB). The problem is that every so often (I can't determine the pattern), the printer "wakes up" and lights up the menu led screen. It stays on for a minute or so, and then goes off until the next time. I imagine something is perhaps pinging devices to see if they are there, but, again, this started with release .52, or maybe later. I am currently on release .55. I have received two updates to the printer firmware since the problem started. It has done this with all three firmware versions, but again, not before Merlin's .52 release.

Any ideas/solutions? Don't want to use USB.
