Anyone know of software/hardware or a box, such that a LAN device or PC (windows, linux) with folders of photos, mpegs, can produce a USB connection as if it were a USB storage device?

Here's why: My new TV has an ethernet interface and lots of Yahoo Widget Apps, but none of them, nor the TV's firmware will detect a media server on the LAN, or at least I've not found how to do so.

The TV also has USB ports that, via a Yahoo "media" widget, will find photos and do slide shoes. But it's a hassle to move photos to a USB thumb/hard drive and go plug it into the TV.

I really misunderstood that this TV cannot find media servers on my LAN. I thought DLNA compatibility was what I needed. But there are so many acronyms in this HD and media era. And some vendors have their own marketing names for this stuff.

I'm not aware of any, but if you post the model of the TV maybe someone can help you configure it to connect to your server over Ethernet.
